The Owner/Chef was born with an apron on! With 30+ years of restaurant experience and founder of 9 previous restaurants, we now welcome you to Khan’s Cave Asian Tavern & Grill. When cooking was once a job, it has now become a hobby of interest. The pleasure of the customers are now his reward!

Established in 2008

Previously a Mongolian BBQ, Khan purchased this business in the summer of 2008 and completely remodeled the entire restaurant. This is an owner/chef operated neighborhood establishment. Food gets top attention here. Since we are an Asian Fusion Gastro-Tavern. Please do not expect authenticity in any ethnic food, but we make them good. We are not made for the rich & famous or for prime time, Khan just want to build a Nice Hole in Kearny Mesa with a touch of class & style, hence Khan’s Cave! So pull over when you are in the area and want a little treat for the day.

A unique “neighborhood” Asian Fusion Style Gastro-Tavern where locals come to enjoy our food, drink & social lounge. Khan’s Cave is a relaxing social lounge best known for the food selection. Look for the “Whisper” items on the board (or TV screen)! Vegan and Gluten Free options available on some items. This is the perfect atmosphere for a casual bite after work or social gatherings. We also have a formal dining room that is quiet and great for dinner parties. Our outdoor patio is perfect for casual gatherings. Khan’s Cave also has a great bar/lounge area with TV’s tuned to major sport events. Offering 20 craft beers on draft, wines by the glass, a full bar, and $5 Happy Hour Mon-Fri 3:00-7:00pm. $5 Happy Hour includes: Lounge Bites & Tapas 20-30% off all night on Wednesdays, $6 Martinis Thursday evenings, “Wine Deals” all bottles priced up to 35% off list Tuesdays & Saturdays, and $4 Happy Hour Pints.
